Quality of Life - The enhancement of the quality of life for all people in Lexington County is my goal as Sheriff. I want Lexington to remain the finest county in South Carolina to in which to live, work, and recreate.

 

Customer Service - Customer service is a lost art in the 21st century. The golden age of customer service has been replaced by concerns for profits. As long as I am Sheriff, the Sheriff's Department will continue to be a stronghold of excellent customer service.

 

Community Involvement - I expect employees of the Lexington County Sheriff's Department to set aside time for community involvement. We have to be involved with our community so that we can enhance the quality of life and provide excellent customer services.
In 2010, the Lexington County Sheriff's Department participated in over 40 charity fundraisers to include the South Carolina Special Olympics, The Children's Miracle Network, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Nancy K. Perry Children's Shelter, Lexington Interfaith Community Services, and many more.

 

Teamwork - I cannot overstate the value of teamwork. I often use the analogy of a team pulling a cart up a hill. If some are pulling up, some sideways, some left and right, the cart will never move! Employees of the Lexington County Sheriff's Department have a clear understanding of my expectations as sheriff. Each employee is required to know the department's mission and vision statements.
